Newark Athletic Hall of Fame's Twenty-Fourth Annual Induction Dinner to be held on October 25, 2012. This dinner is used to honor former athletes who have distinguished themselves as representatives of Newark Schools and other athletic teams will be honored at the dinner. Scholarships will be given to a scholar athlete in each of their honor. PROCEDURES FOR SELECTING SCHOLAR ATHLETES AND OUTSTANDING MALE AND FEMALE ATHLETES The Athletic Director of each school establishes a list of outstanding senior high school athletes along with the Guidance Counselors of each high school. The Guidance Counselors also put together a list of students. Scholar Athletes are nominated based on the following: Nominees are senior high school students.
